Molten Aluminum Crucible VS Red Volcano Summit

Making process

Utilizing the lost-foam aluminum casting technique, the lamp recreates the cooling and solidification process of volcanic lava. Molten aluminum is poured onto an EPS foam mold, which instantly vaporizes, allowing the metal to fill the void and form the lamp’s structure. This process mirrors the way lava cools and hardens, resulting in a one-of-a-kind texture and shape for each piece—every lamp carries the imprint of its own unique formation.

Inside the cast aluminum shade, the hand-blown glass bulb enhances the organic aesthetic. Its irregular surface refracts light in dynamic ways, resembling the rolling motion of molten lava. When illuminated, the interplay of light and shadow mimics the natural flow of magma, amplifying the lamp’s visual impact and evoking a sense of geological energy.

The LAVA table lamp is more than just a lighting object—it is a sculptural exploration of natural transformation and material experimentation, seamlessly blending the unpredictability of nature with the precision of human craftsmanship.
